VIDEOS REMOVED DUE TO EXCEDING SOURCEFORGE QUOTA LIMITS!! I HAVE SUBMITTED A QUOTA INCREASE PETITION AND I WILL REUPLOAD SOON..
The videos posted here maintain a balance of high quality and low bit rates thanks to the use of the well known H.264. This codec is relatively a new codec an perhaps you don't have installed. Please download a free implementation of it (this site maintains almost daily builds of the codec and is a work in progress). Download sample video 1 showing the solver with no surface extraction and no surface markers enabled (in order of 77k partices). The low frame rate is due to screen grabing (framebuffer download from graphics memory and video codec compression) without it it achieves 20-30fps. on my PC. Download sample video 2 showing the solver with no surface extraction and surface markers enabled (in order of 30-40k partices). Surface markes mode is experimental and not as stable as the other mode. The algorithm that creates/distroys particles has not been tested exhaustevely and carefully designed for this example particle can be as low as 5k o less. Notice that surface markers reduces number of markers form N^3 to N^2 where N grid dimension. The low frame rate is due to screen grabing (framebuffer download from graphics memory and video codec compression) without it it achieves 40fps. on my PC. Download sample video 3 showing the capacity of the engine for dinamic lights and shadows. Download sample video 4 showing the camera path evolution which his done by evaluating a spline given some key points. The screenshot shows the path that in the video the camera follows.
